Our Pipeline, Step by Step
Fetch
Each day we pull the latest dropped .com list from the dataset — thousands of freshly expired domains, confirmed dropped and available for immediate registration.
Prefilter
A strict rule-based filter eliminates junk immediately — no numbers, no hyphens, no bad prefixes, sensible length limits by name type, syllable caps, consonant-vowel pattern checks for short invented names, and rejection of unpronounceable letter clusters. This removes ~98% of drops.
Availability Check
Every surviving domain is verified live via RDAP (the authoritative registry protocol). DNS lookup first for speed, then RDAP for a definitive answer.
AI Quality Score
Confirmed-available domains are scored and evaluated on a 100-point rubric covering length and structure, pronunciation and spellability, brandability tier, and industry fit. Only domains scoring above the threshold are published. This is where the true gems separation happens.
Publish & Re-check
Results are published on Pickednames. Every 2 hours, the availability of every listed domain is re-checked via RDAP — domains that have been registered since publication are dimmed automatically so you always see accurate status.
